Gary has taught hundreds of students from all over the world, from ages five to adult. His guitar and general music teaching experience includes teaching at the University of California at Davis, Beverly Hills School District, The Los Angeles Unified School District, and Guitars In The Classroom (where he trained classroom teachers to use the guitar as a tool for their classrooms). He also created a guitar program through Little Kids Rock for 4th and 5th grade children at the Downtown Value School in Los Angeles, California.

His proven teaching methods from over 25 years of teaching experience will enable you to get positive results in your playing faster than you can imagine. If you are a beginner, you will learn cool songs and be able to make your guitar sound good after your first lesson with me. If you are already a player, you will be amazed at how fast you will be able to get to the next level.

Each student is an individual and has preferred styles of learning that correspond to his/her individual needs and desires. Starting in the very first lesson, Gary works with you to create realistic, but challenging goals for mastering the guitar. Every so often, you and Gary will review your goals and keep you on track.

Gary will provide you with a structured practice sheet, so you will know exactly what to practice each day. Sometimes, Gary will provide you supplimental videos to compliment your lessons.

After you have had some playing experience, Gary offers various workshops right in Aix-En-Provence to give you the opportunity to learn in a small group guitarists and apply what you learned playing popular songs. Many times, Gary will teach a song that has multiple guitar parts and will teach the art of playing music with others.
