Beautifully restored stone “bastide style” building nestled in the middle of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees. The property is located close to the village of Lourmarin, listed as “one of the most beautiful villages in Luberon”, France.
The accommodation is on two floors: an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room overlooking the terrace, garden and pool. There are four double bedrooms welcoming eight people comfortably. Two terraces with pergolas on each side of the house.
Ground floor. Reception area, leading on the left to the large, fully equipped, modern, open-plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room. On this floor, there is a double bedroom with 160 cm bed that can be made as twin beds, en suite shower, double washbasin and separate WC. Also on this floor, a guest WC and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
First floor. Three bedrooms: The Master bedroom has a 180cm bed, dressing and en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower attachment, double washbasin and separate WC. Along the corridor are two further bedrooms, one with a 160cm bed, en-suite shower and separate WC and the other one with a 160cm bed that can also be made as twin beds, en-suite bathroom with shower, single washbasin and separate WC.
The house has air-conditioning throughout, satellite TV and internet access. Two garages. Gas BBQ. Outdoor pizza oven. The swimming pool measures 15m x 4m.
Lourmarin nestles in the middle of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees and its architecture is typical Mediterranean with its winding narrow streets, lovely old restored houses, and well shaded public squares. There are numerous café terraces, restaurants and boutiques. Albert Camus, winner of the Nobel Literature prize, lived and wrote here, and is buried in the Lourmarin cemetery.
