Monts de Vaucluse

A beautiful property in a quiet location situated near the charming and picturesque village of Cabrieres d’Avignon in the heart of the Vaucluse Mountains with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and of the Luberon hills. The hectare sized garden offers spacious lawns and a profusion of trees: olive, fig, apricot and cherry, and many plants and flowers. The property has a lovely free shape pool, together with pool house and traditional charcoal barbeque, as well as toilets and shower facilities. There are outdoor seating areas beneath the shade of a large tree and also on the terrace beneath a pergola with views over the garden.

The interiors blend authentic and contemporary atmospheres. There are stone walls, beamed ceilings, traditional fireplaces, tiled floors and furniture, together with a modern and stylish feel. White, pink and red is the colour scheme in the light and airy living room, which boasts white walls, beamed ceilings and wide windows. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms have French windows, beautifully tiled floors, quaint bedside furniture and lamps, and are decorated in a variety of colours – floral and typical Provençal yellow, burnt orange and red. Bath and shower rooms are attractively tiled. There is air conditioning and wifi access throughout the property. This is a  perfect place for families or groups of friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday together. The accommodation is in the main bastide, and in the guest house, a few minutes walk behind.

Situated on a hillside in the Monts de Vaucluse across from the Luberon mountain range, Cabrières d’Avignon is located in the heart of the dry stone country. It is an extremely charming picturesque village, which has been able to maintain all of its authentic character. Take a walk down the village streets and you’ll discover the tastefully restored, ancient, rustic dry stone houses. Visit the parish church of Saint-Vincent with Romanesque origins and the castle built in the 13th century, and enjoy the evenings with the fountains beautifully lit up.
